A few beautiful walks at 3 seperate locations. Only the Saltos sector costs money to enter. It is also the most popular sector.

Like in most national parks in Chile, CONAF seem to have little regard for the environment. The infestation of invasive species in this park is the worst I have seen in any national park in Chile. Almost nowhere in the 3 sectors of the park that we visited can you walk where English broom (Cytisus scoparias) is not smothering the native vegetation. Dealing with weed infestations is difficult, but given the huge amount of money this park receives every day from the hundreds of visitors to the Saltos sector, why is even the bare minimum not being done to control invasive species in this park? It seems CONAF are only interested in tourism and making money, and not in conserving the environment that they...

I left a part of my soul here. One of the best parks I ever visited in my life. Everything here is magnificent. The waterfalls, the lake, the mountains whatever you name, everything is beautiful.

Very well maintained park.

It’s so beautiful that I felt sad while leaving this park. For sure will be visiting it again in a month.

You can easily come here by bus from Puerto Varas.

The entry fee for Chilean Citizens is 2000 clp for adults and 1000 clp for children. For Foreign tourist it’s 4000 clp.

Entry to the park closes here by 6:00 pm so plan accordingly. Also after 6:00 pm the bus frequency is less. If you aren planning to go back, it could be a...

We drove up to the volcano to hike. Great drive, easy roads and well marked. We saw a Darwin Fox on the way up the mountain. Not fast enough to snap a pic of him. It was so windy at the top! Whoa! We went on an overcast day but no rain. We went for a quick hike and got wind blown but laughed and enjoyed the adventure. Stopped at to a little restaurant at the parking lot to warm up with hot chocolate and hot tea. Highly recommend warm clothes, glasses or other eye covering for the dust/wind factor and a positive attitude. It was fun!...

The waterfalls are some of the most beautiful ones I've ever seen. It's very catered with walkways but this does make the insane views possible. You can even have a cup of tea with a sandwich while watching the water flow. If you are in for more of a hike continue to the next village and do the loop up to the Mirador. Mixed terrain and some parts appear to have been washed out, so a bit more creativity on your part, but the view is worth it.
