The guardians at the site are quite strict about where visitors can walk, ensuring the preservation of the area. While it's nice for a quick stop, Mirador Laguna Miñiques isn't a must-see highlight. Nonetheless, it's worth a brief visit if you're nearby and have time to spare.

It’s a so beautiful lake. The scenery is spectacular, and vivid blue of the lake and the sky. We can also see the Vicugna and several kinds of birds there. The altitude is more than 4,000m. So, please be careful for your body situation. It’s better to go by the tour from San Pedro de Atacama.

The Mirador Laguna Miñiques offers a wonderful view of the salt lake. It has a few trails to walk around the lake. It is very important to not step out of the trail, the environment is delicate and will not stand people walking all over it. There is no restroom at this point.

A nice spot along the drive to the piedras Rojas. The road up is extremely rough. Picturesque views with not a lot of information. A lot of people on tours but didn’t appear to offer much more than you can glean on your own besides having a driver. Again the worst road we experienced driving in the...
