There are a lot of one-day tourists on this route, so if you have the opportunity to start early, do it, preferably before 6 a.m. If you want to reach the top before sunrise, you should start at 3 or 4 a.m. Around 9 a.m., a number of buses arrive in the area, and therefore the track is filled with people from 10 a.m. - see pic. 2 Halfway there is a nice camp where you can buy everything from hot coffee, some breakfast, and the opportunity to sit and rest for a quarter of an hour before the last stage.

A nice but relatively long and crowded day hike up to the base of the towers. Weather can definitely be hit or miss, and the trail can be windy. There’s a refugio about 40% of the way up with food, coffee, and hot chocolate. The hike ends in some iconic views but in my opinion there are prettier hikes in Chile.

A paisagem é fantástica.
