The longest corridor in the world! All 728m of it made of wood, which is intricately hand painted, showing the grandeur of the Qing Dynasty. It runs between Summer Palace and Kunming Lake. There are around 10,000 paintings here depicting landscapes, Chinese folklore, and actual historical events. The elaborate detail was so amazing that I had a pain in my neck looking up for so long! It's a pity you have to manoeuvre your way around hundreds of tourists to see this, but the shelter from the intense June sun was welcome here, and there are great views of the lake.
