One of the best old town I have ever seen. Highly recommend if you visit Chongqing. This old town combines two sections, 三浩里 and 龍門浩. The latter is renovated last year. The whole town is super clean with well built stone steps that are safe to walk even in heavy rain. Many restaurants, bars, cafes that can relax for hours. It's a very popular place full of tourists especially on some Internet celebrity check-in hotspots but there are still many quiet and beautiful corners and cafes to sip a cup of tea, coffee and a glass of wine. The place is so beautiful that I revisited it one day after again. It sits by the side of river and bridge. The bridge has two decks, subway run on lower deck while cars on upper one. One subway station is within walking distance.

After our cable car ride across the Yangtze River, we headed over to 龙门浩老街 at night, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable parts of the trip. The entire old street was lit up beautifully, with warm lanterns and glowing lights that gave the area a magical charm. Walking through the district, we found plenty of great photo spots tucked between the nostalgic buildings and alleys. The preserved architecture carries a strong sense of history, and strolling here really felt like stepping back in time while still enjoying the modern touches of Chongqing nightlife. It’s a perfect place to slow down, take photos, and just soak in the atmosphere. Definitely worth visiting in the evening for the best experience.

Longmenhao Laojie is a decent spot to explore, though it may not stand out compared to other attractions in Chongqing. The main highlight here is the view of the nearby bridge, which can be quite picturesque, especially in the evening. Beyond that, there isn’t much to see or do, so it may not be worth prioritizing if your schedule is tight. The area is quiet and pleasant for a short stroll, making it suitable if you’re already nearby or have some spare time to fill. Overall, it’s a nice detour, but not a must-visit attraction in Chongqing

Step into the past at Longmenhao Old Street, a charming slice of old Chongqing where cobblestone alleys and traditional wooden diaojiaolou (stilted houses) evoke the city’s riverside heritage. Unlike the flashy bustle of Jiefangbei, this quieter, restored historic district offers a glimpse into local life with its tea houses, artisan workshops, and street snacks like ciqikou sesame cakes or spicy lazi chicken. The vibe is nostalgic and photogenic, especially in the golden-hour light, though some areas feel overly commercialized. Perfect for a leisurely stroll or a break from the urban chaos, it’s a cultural pit stop—just don’t expect untouched authenticity. Pair it with a visit to nearby Ciqikou for a fuller dose of...
