Haikou Clock Tower — Attraction in Haikou City

I came to the Haikou Clock Tower only because it's a famous landmark that's near Qilou Old Street where I was visiting. A tower is still just a tower, clock or no clock. There's a plaque that tells the history and that's about all. As it's located next to the river, it's a nice stroll along the esplanade. I assume it'll be nicer when it's lighted up at night esp when it's cooler. Had to fight the traffic to cross the big Changdi...

The scenery is elegant and graceful, and it is listed as one of the eight scenic spots in Haikou. It has a long history and was first built to accommodate foreign trade. The top floor is 28 meters high and has a 6-story steel plate concrete structure. The appearance is magnificent. The big clock is set on the top floor, and the four sides use Shanghai 555 brand...

It’s in a very central location, you won’t miss it. That’s a start of a nice long stroll that you can do in both sides...
