Mount Butler(畢拿山) is a high point approximately 200 metres on a westerly climb from Quarry Pass Rest Stop (大風坳涼亭). There are plenty of directional signs so it is impossible to be lost. Mt Butler itself is only 436m above sea level. It is supposedly used as a "H.F. Radio Receiving Station". One should be able to see such antennas here also. From this high vantage point the view is quite good on a sunny day, and one can apparently see Lamma island(南丫島) about southwestly direction, as well as Red Hill(白筆山), straight south, and Dragon's Back(龍脊) on Shek O(石澳) in the southeast direction. View is rewarding though, facing Victoria harbour and the other side facing Tai Tam Reservoir. This hiking trail isn't too crowded neither, I can take time to take pictures without people blocking the view. The trail going down to Siu Ma Shan can be a bit demanding, as some part of it isn't paved properly, have to be careful while hiking down the trail. It could be a bit risky after raining.
