An old and valuable tree in Muk Lun Street Playground was elected as one of the “King of Urban Trees” in the 1990s. Chinese Banyan (Ficus microcarpa) has earned a beautiful chinese nickname “Beautiful Whiskers” because of its a beautiful beard-like aerial roots. It located near the park entrance at Shatin Pass Road. 🧔 There are four numbers of Asoka planted between the children playground near the main entrance at Muk Lun Street. They flower between March and April each year, their bright orange-yellow flowers are very attractive.
