Ping Shan Tin Shui Wai Public Library — Attraction in Hong Kong

I like the library. It is spacious and comfortable. I love the outdoor area too. This library gives readers a break from the congested environment in Hong Kong, a rare experience for readers. I enjoy my time there. Readers can spend the whole day there enjoyably. Their computer room service is very good. You can get hold of a computer (for various purposes like browsing, printing and scanning) without waiting in the non rush hours. The library can be easily reached by MTR. There is plenty of parking (private at a reasonable fee) outside the library. The only negative comment I may have is the collection of books. One can argue that it depends on personal liking for certain books. Besides it is not the city central library. It is fair enough. With 3 outdoor reading areas, including a roof garden blessed with one of the most relaxing views, this well stocked library of 6 storeys is easily the best library available in our entire city. With such a spacious design,you can usually find a seat ,even during their busiest hours.

UPDATE: If you want to charge your laptop, you may want to move to the self study room (entrance of that on the 1st floor, outside the library) where all the seats facing the stadium come with one power socket. However, the library itself only gives you one or two seats with power each floor.

During warmer days(20 degrees or above), their air conditioning can be rather strong and you may want to stay on the third floor. The warmest indoor area is the one where you can see the rural view,next to the coffee corner...

2nd largest public library in the city , it had a fair size of materials and connected to the Tin Shui Wai Rail Station via covered pedestrian flyover. It had one of the best kids library section with play pan and a whole floor dedicated to that.

The facility though lack public area for non readers who simply want an excursion with a few outside garden and shaded area, not the best of option considering weather in the city year round
