It was abandoned in Qing dynasty, and was wrapped by the aerial roots of a banyan tree later on. The tree house is now fenced; visitors cannot enter the tree house. Take green minibus 601 at Yuen Long Fung Cheung Rd, and alight at the last stop; fee for the minibus is HKD$6.7.

The playground is next to the remarkable Kam Tin Tree House, a 300+ year old Banyan Tree that has engulfed an old building, likely a couple centuries ago at least, now using it as support and base to support its massive size and weight.
