Fuzimiao (夫子廟)area is fairly large with lots of food stalls, souvenirs, clothes and Nanjing memorabilia. Unfortunately it is very similar to other tourist areas in China, very commercially-oriented tourism. Prices can vary a lot between shops, so shop around before buying. There are few places to visit, eat at 南京大排檔(Nanjing Snacks), Confucius Temple (夫子廟), and eat some ducks (南京鹽水鴨/烤鴨). Although it is a bit too commercial but still worth the visit. Lots of girls dressed in ancient dresses for photographs. Recommend to go for a late lunch around 2-3pm to avoid crowd, then walk around until early evening when the light turn on and leave before dinner, Crowd peak around 7-9pm.
