瞻园 — Attraction in Nanjing City

Located near 夫子庙 (walking distance from the Pedestrian Street), this place is known as 金陵第一园, the largest private gardens and one of Jiangnan's 四大园林. The first owner Xu Da was a comrade of Zhu Yuan Zhang, and his eldest daughter also married Zhu's grandson. There are still traces of his ownership in the front part of the garden where a path is made using tiles and cheap stones, which were decided by Xu Da as a display of prudence to align with values of Zhu Yuan Zhang.

Today, in modern times, it's essentially a big pretty garden used for filming and a pretty good OOTD spot. The garden also looks slightly different when the lights come...

I think if you ever had chance to visit Nanjing then all the places around there you should at least give a look (even though not everything is in English or has English description)

I don't understand Chinese, and from what my friend told me seemed that the English version couldn't describe well the spirit of the origin language when telling story.
