We stayed 4 nights in Sanya Edition Hotel. The hotel is beautiful and huge. The pools are endless, and you can do kayak on the lake. When we checked in, our room was a little too high for my husband as he has vertigo. So we asked our private butler Steve if we can move to another room. Steve was very comprehensive, his english is perfect (he can also speak some french words !), so he arranged for us another room on the lower floor. And what a surprise, he upgraded the room for free, the room was bigger, has the view on the lake and the sea. The room also has 2 bathtubs, including the one on the balcony. It was perfect. |Usually we prefer to have diner outside the hotel, but for the first night we have diner at Egret the western restaurant, the food was excellent and we had the chance to meet the Chef Lambor, he worked in France, and he speaks fluently french, it was very nice to share our experience with Chef Lambor in french. The next day, we have diner at the Chinese restaurant Xian Hai, the place is beautiful and elegant and the food very good as well. They select the best ingredients, we tried the abalone, it was so good. As we really enjoyed the restaurants in the hotel, we also eat at Barbacoa restaurant on our 3rd day, the indonesian restaurant on the beach, the atmosphere is more chill and we can enjoy the live band music. The food is also good but not as good as Egret or Xian Hai. Alice the manager of Egret restaurant was very kind and helpfull, because she booked all the restaurant for us, I just send her a message over Wechat, it was very convenient, so thanks again Alice.|We also enjoyed the beach club bar, a DJ performed all the afternoon and the sky bar at night. At sky bar, we met Lara, we talk with her a very long time about Chongqing as she is a native from this city. So we share a lot of things, it was very memorable to talk with her, and the next day she give us a little gift from Chongqing to make the best Hot Pot, we were vey touched by her gesture. It was so kind. |So for all these reasons, I HIGHLY recommend this hotel, all the infrastructure is beautiful, the restaurants are very good and above all we have made beautiful meetings with Steve, Alice, Lambor and Lara. The staff is really kind and professional and always make sure that we...
Read moreThe worst hire ever! I was solo as a gal and their security breach is horrible!! And they didn’t face my issue properly, keep saying that my email wasn’t receive. They are ridiculous.||My email content to them ||“On the morning of October 12, while enjoying the pool in my villa and having activated the "Do Not Disturb" sign, a staff member entered without permission to inquire about tidying the room. I understand the need for housekeeping, but it is concerning that the staff did not follow protocol by contacting my butler first. This breach of privacy was quite unsettling.||Later that evening, around 21:00, I experienced a very alarming incident. I heard someone unlocking the front door and entering the living room despite having secured it. The maid claimed she pressed the doorbell and entered because I had activated the tidy button. However, I was unaware of such an activation, especially since I had just received turn-down service. Again, I find it unacceptable that she did not attempt to contact my butler or follow proper procedures.||Later the night, the duty manager's visit did little to alleviate my distress. He confirmed that the doorbell had not been pressed, further highlighting the lack of professionalism in handling this situation. As I had an early morning shoot at 6 AM, I struggled to sleep due to the anxiety caused by these incidents.||On the morning of October 13, I had an early shooting at the beach and left my villa around 6:05 AM. Before departing, I ensured that the front door was securely locked and activated the “Do Not Disturb” sign. However, after returning from breakfast, I discovered that the front door had been left unlocked.||The duty manager came to assist me and entered the room alongside me. I would like to note that the staff member who drove the golf cart to the beach with me confirmed that I had indeed locked the door before leaving. Furthermore, my “Do Not Disturb” sign was still displayed upon my return.||I chose to stay at a Marriott property because of the brand's reputation for safety and professionalism, especially as I am traveling alone. The events I experienced have left me feeling quite the opposite, and I am genuinely...
Read moreOur holiday at the Sanya EDITION was nothing short of fantastic, offering an experience that was both luxurious and genuinely personal. While the world-class facilities are stunning, it was the incredible staff that truly made our anniversary trip unforgettable.||We were consistently impressed by a team that anticipates needs with warm, thoughtful service. Special mentions are essential for the individuals who went above and beyond:||• Jordi ensured my wife and I were exceptionally well-cared for, adding thoughtful touches that truly elevated our anniversary celebration.|• Julie, always kind and attentive, ensured every aspect of our stay was smooth, relaxing, and worry-free.|• Wisdom greeted us with infectious positivity every day and was always willing to go the extra mile for our comfort.|• Alan at the swimming pool bar uplifted our afternoons with his fantastic energy and service.|• Frank at the Egret restaurant impressed us with his sharp, detail-oriented, and kind approach.||The facilities are world-class, featuring a stunning space, various pools, and lush grounds. Our room was modern, beautiful, and very comfortable. A particular highlight was the Egret restaurant, where sophisticated, delicious food was served in a pleasant ambiance by a team of well-trained staff.||For future guests, we would offer two small considerations that could make the experience even more perfect, depending on your preferences:||1. Pool Atmosphere: The music at the swimming pools is consistently played at a fairly high volume. While it creates a vibrant and energetic vibe, it doesn't offer much space for guests who prefer a quieter atmosphere to read or simply relax in silence. Perhaps designating one pool as a "quiet zone" could be a wonderful addition.|2. Room Layout: The open-plan bathroom concept is very stylish. However, the lack of a solid wall dividing the bathroom from the main room might be a consideration for personal privacy.||These are very minor points in an otherwise perfect stay. We highly recommend the Sanya EDITION and look forward to...
