SCIS is one of the oldest international schools in Shanghai with a great ethnic diversity. In fact they would prefer white faces to ethnic Chinese with foreign passports. Admission tour is great but the responsiveness and warmth just stops there. Responses are slow and inconsistent regarding the admissions process. Education lean towards the open style versus the more rigorous other extreme of Shanghai High or YK Pao. Kids are happy but living in a complete bubble away from the local society, without much homework as a discipline.
