This Garden is not big as camper to other garden in Suzhou but believe it is different than others. Details about garden as follow :- The Master of the Nets Garden in Suzhou is among the finest gardens in China. It is recognized with other classical Suzhou gardens as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The garden demonstrates Chinese garden designers' adept skills for synthesizing art, nature, and architecture to create unique metaphysical masterpieces. The Master of the Nets is particularly regarded among garden connoisseurs for its mastering the techniques of relative dimension, contrast, foil, sequence and depth, and borrowed scenery.

History The Master of the Nets garden, then called Ten Thousand Volume Hall, was first constructed in 1140 by Shi Zhengzhi the Deputy Civil Service Minister of the Southern Song Dynasty government. Shi Zhengzhi was inspired by the simple and solitary life of a Chinese fisherman depicted in philosophical writings. After his death the garden passed through numerous ownership and subsequently fell into disarray until around 1785 when it was restored by Song Zongyuan, a retired government official of the Qing Dynasty.

"Master of the nets garden" and my way on foot to it - a few outdated, so far season mismatched pics. It's hard to believe, that this site (today listed as a UNESCO World Heritage) was constructed in the 12th century! Garden's founder was inspired by the simplicity and solitude of a Chinese fisherman's life, depicted in philosophical writings. Six hundred years later another owner, who referred to himself as a fisherman, renovated the place, having retained its spirit, and gave the garden a name: Master of the Nets Garden. Years ago, thanks to this place, I was introduced to Chinese classic art of garden design. I can tell, why it is considered to be one of the finest examples. Beautifully sculpted synthesis of art, nature, landscape architecture and scenery creates such a unique atmosphere, which literally puts a visitor inside a masterpiece. Strangers, who by chance got into my shots, also...

Every time when I where here it was a nice experience. This is a pretty good place where to relax for a while and see the traditional places from ancient times. How life looks like a few hundred years ago. Inside is also a toilet and a wending machine for some cold drinks. So if you are hungry, eat rather outside. Thank you🤩

Beautiful garden steeped in history. I went to the night show. The garden is beautiful and the performances were good. Unfortunately, I didn't understand a word the guide said but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Definitely go if you understand Mandarin.
