万石山风景区 — Attraction in Xiamen

This is the only Temple in all of China where you can see a standing Buddha statue. This place also has a very high mountain top you can hike up to. But it's not for the faint of heart. It's very tall and in fact it's in the clouds. On a rainy day it's actually quite treacherous. So stay cautious. There is no cable car so it's just you and your own fortitude. At the top there is a little cantina for some drinks and snacks to regain your strength before coming down. There aren't many accosting vendors like other temples. Just one old lady trying to sell you corn to feed to the birds. A great family...

입장료 30元. 처음엔 언덕이였다가, 나중에는 등산 수준이다. 지금 7월인데 너무 더워서 탈진할 뻔 했다. 물은 필수로 챙겨야 한다. 풍경은 좋았으나 필수관광 코스까지는 아닌듯 하다. 그냥 일반 중국의 평범한 공원에 특이식물이 조금 더 있다고 보면 된다. 그러나 가족단위의 관광객이 많다. 주말이면 관광객으로 입구 매표소 부터 인산인해다. 내부는 은근히 크다. (산 한개 통체로 식물원이다) 너무 더워서 다 둘러보지는 못했다. 그냥 오르고 오르고 다 올라서 내려오니 1시간반정도 걸린거 같다. 내려올땐...
