I am a Canadian tourist in Bucaramanga and came to this park thinking this was actually going to be a beautiful, relaxing park in nature. This is not really a park but a square. It is located in a busy part of town. There are a bunch of vendors, all lined up and a few benches. Some of the local workers eat their lunch there. This is not a place to picnic or for kids to play. El Parque Santander es el eje central de la ciudad de Cucuta básicamente desde allí partes a conocer los alrededores y galerías por todas partes. A pesar de haber movimiento extremo es una ciudad segura por esa zona. Encontrarás una mezcla cultural entre Colombianos y Venezolanos. Los precios en caso vayas de compra son muy económicos comparados a ciudades como Bucaramanga y Medellin. Si tu rollo es compra de ropa 1000% recomendado es Medellin. Aquí están las fábricas textiles y productores de ropa de Colombia . Te recomiendo avanzar u poco más hasta MDE. La variedad de restaurantes, tiendas, atracciones y demás es amplia.
Parque Santander is the central axis of the city of Cucuta basically from there parts to see the surroundings and galleries everywhere. Despite having extreme movement, it is a safe city in that area. You will find a cultural mix between Colombians and Venezuelans.
