Playa de Oro — Attraction in Cartagena

We tried to go there. This was 2 weeks ago. I wanted lunch. Once we turned off the road it was overwhelming. We were surrounded by guys shouting (my Spanish is fluent btw). Then they all jumped on motorbikes to follow us. The taxista said they were harmless, just trying to get us to choose their restaurant. We were two women, my Venezuelan godson and the driver. It was more than unpleasant. I made an executive decision not even to go as far as the actual beach. Imagine trying to have lunch...

It was a nice beach, we could see that most of the visitors were locals or came from nearby towns. Getting there was not easy, the road is unpaved and very bumpy. Anyways, Gonzalo, one of the vendors, found us, he located us near the beach, set a table and we decided to have lunch there. We had mojarra it was good and it cost $40.000 each plate. Due to we were having lunch, we were not charge for the table, we liked that. We enjoyed the sea, there were not many people...

Very quiet, remote. Clean in Colombia standarts. It's possible to get there by Uber. From Cartagena 50-60 k. But beware of locals. You can order food and drinks, settle a price (which is very close to Cartagena prices) but later you will be charged service charge (15%, which is more than restaurant), and 60k for place under the shack...
