La Guayacana Park — Attraction in Envigado

Very good experience, amazing place to relax, make a picnic, hearing the birds, seating at a relaxing area for working or reading. It is a place to go if you want to be in a safe area surounded by a bit of nature and antiques. The only drawback I found in this place was that the security guy who take care of the place didn't allowed me to use my camera ( even an old semi professional point and shoot camera) because the rules says that you can only use cameras with permission, but that doesn't mean that you cannot use your phone to take pictures, so in the end it is a weird rule that only affects the people who want to do some casual birding, because being honest, the physical zoom of a camera is the only thing that a cellphone couldn't...

What a gem this place is! Nestled quietly in the Loma del Esmeraldal, the park is completely free to the public. It used to belong to a private citizen but I am not sure about how it came to be a reading place to watch birds and enjoy nature. It is within walking distance from where we live past these super cute (but large) fincas. There are photos of birds in the region, carefully restored rooms of the original house, and fabulously maintained cobblestones throughout the property.
