Mirador el Cielo Medellin — Attraction in Medellín

Maybe it’s a spot for locals but certainly not for tourists. Let me give you a glimpse of what to expect:

The way to the place looked really dangerous. Several mudslides along the way not to mention you will pass by questionable places. Once you arrive you will find a place with a toboggan and a swing that are totally unsafe from any basic standards. The food places don’t look appetizing or sanitary at all. We barely managed to get out. Three Ubers cancelled, DiDi never confirmed and barely managed to get a taxi. Even the taxi driver told us he wouldn’t visit the place.

I as a American found it to be very fun and the food was good the more I travel outside of the places I’m told to stay in to be safe I find out that the people of Medellin are good people and friendly. I’m tired of hearing bad things because america isn’t any safer to be honest. I’ve been taken advantage of by the police and I find them to be more dangerous than the average citizen. Access is very narrow, be careful if driving. P.s: some hills are very steep, so also look out for that.

The view is excellent.

This mirador has a food truck style to it, with various small food businesses. There are also many paid activities for kids and adults, including a small zoo area, trampolines, a slide, and others.
