Playas De Tolú — Attraction in Tolú

Not a bad boardwalk... Water is not really clean like usual at beaches close to towns. But had a really bad experience with the tour company "TRANSPORTADORA MARÍTIMA OLAS DEL MAR" Stay away from them at all costs! They cheat you and shortened the tour. The told me I was going to Mucura island and they took me to Tintpan Island . When I asked for a refund they said no .. the captain told me we were going there also. I will attach pictures...

This is a quiet Colombian caribbean beach. It is a long bus ride from any city in Colombia. Difficult to get to means less people. The hotels are plentiful and cheap. The beach had dark volcanic sand, it is not a typical caribbean beach. The malancon and side walk are right on the water. This makes the beach small and less attractive to the eye. A beautiful place in the north of Colombia. Tolú is a nice place and my girlfriend and I really enjoy our time here. The town is nice and quiet during the day and you will find nice food near the Central Park. If you want to enjoy a beautiful beach you must go to Coveñas, a 15 minutes ride from Tolu, there's some public buses leaving from the Central Park every 10 or 15 minutes and the fare is less than one US dollar...
