Wilton our guide was beyond amazing. I cant even begin to explain how phenomenal he was. You dont often meet a person who not only loves their job but also excels at it. Literally as soon as he started the tour with our group, we spotted multiple sloths, hummingbirds and other wildlife just while we were still in the parking lot! Wilton was exceptionally knowledgeable about wildlife of all kinds and gave many pictures he himself had taken to clearly show what he was referring. The amount of animals we saw within the short amount of time we had was incredible, he could pinpoint an animals location and point it out to everyone within seconds. What also made it even better was he was carrying a spotting scope so that way we could get a clsoe up magnification of the animal, and then he would also take our phones and take pictures/videos through the scope and he would take professional level photos for everyone. For certain animals such as the frogs he would go as close as possible to get an even better shot. Another thing that put this at the top for us was tbat we actually self drove to the activity so when the rest of our tour group has to leave we actually asked if we could stay and just walk around by ourselves as we wanted to see hummingbirds. Wilton actually accompanied us for another hour and made sure we saw everything we possibly could during that hour all for free simply because he loves what he does and loves to show people cool things. This activity was literally the highlight of our day even of our whole vacation. We will definitely be back! We have way too many photos to post but i can post a...
Read moreWe stumbled upon this place driving past it to go to Rio Celeste. We hiked to the waterfall first thing (8am) and were done in just over an hour so on our way out stopped here to see if we could take a tour. Steve was our guide and was so awesome!! He was really friendly and very knowledgeable. He answered all of our questions and helped take pictures and videos for us through his binoculars for animals that were too far for our phone cameras. We saw a bunch of cool stuff - frogs, snakes, birds, sloths and we even saw a hummingbird nest with two tiny little eggs in it! We also saw a coati which was super cool, and Steve said he had never seen one there before so it was fun and exciting for him too. Really well maintained property but everything you see is out in nature, nothing is caged or kept so what you see is based on the day, the weather and some good old luck. We were hoping to see a sloth up close but they were all sleeping high up in the trees. To us that was better than seeing them close up but in a cage.
Highly recommend (and also going early like we did around 930 am before it’s too hot) and recommend Steve...
Read moreIf you're looking for a jungle tour that will leave you laughing and in awe, then look no further than the one led by the witty and charming Jorge. Our guide, who clearly had a passion for sarcasm, led us on a journey through the jungle that was nothing short of a comedy show. We saw sloths that were so slow, it gave us time to snap some great pictures with them. Monkeys that were so playful, we couldn't stop laughing at their antics. And don't even get me started on the Toucan, which was so colorful, we couldn't stop staring. But the real highlight of the tour was the poisoned frog, which Jorge insisted on handling with great care and caution. He educated us on the importance of the frog's role in the ecosystem and made it a memorable experience. But the true test of Jorge's talent as a guide was his ability to spot the most interesting animals in the jungle, like the ones with camouflage, that we would have never found on our own. We were amazed at his skills and knowledge. In short, if you're looking for a jungle tour that will leave you feeling entertained and educated, then...
