La Cartonera — Attraction in Pozos

A renovated box factory, La Cartonera appears to be just ramping up. Compared to Town Center where you might meet a couple friends for a good meal, this is a place for a party. And it's set up for it. Loads of bars and available bar food. I can imagine it's packed on the weekend. There are a few retail kiosks but its mostly about food and drink. Good place for the kids to run around outside while the parents drink and talk.

Have you been to the new food and beverage mercado in Santa Ana just off Lindora heading towards Belen? This establishment has only been open a few months and we were told it used to be a cardboard plant. They kept the open warehouse vibe and repurposed it into an edgy, eclectic venue filled with restaurants, shops and bars with big screens and a large open air seating area. Went to this sushi place today. Asked for nigiri salmon and tuna...shown in the photo. They said they don't have it but they advertise it. They only have cut rolls with cream cheese 🤮 Since they were idiots about their own menu....we ordered Kung Pao chicken. The chicken was so dry/overcooked it wasn't easy to eat. A side dish of gyozas and they were burned. Worst food in Costa Rica. Never going...
