Olive Garden - Terrazas Lindora — Restaurant in Pozos

We are not big fans of Olive Garden in the states. It is a chain restaurant with good salad and bread sticks but overall just OK. We feel differently about Olive Garden in Costa Rica though. I'm not sure if it's the quality of the fresh ingredients or the exceptional service but we do enjoy dining here. We went with friends and the guys enjoyed house margaritas which came with shots of almond liqueur. The ladies enjoyed Mojitos and red wine. The unlimited salad was tossed with the Olive Garden Italian dressing on chilled plates and the bread sticks were served piping hot from the oven. Entrees just taste better here. The shrimp scampi had jumbo prawns cooked perfectly with asparagus and tomatoes. And the picture of the lasagna doesn't do it justice...it was a brick 10 x 5 x 6 inches. We have lived in Costa Rica for 2 years and love it. But it was really fun to have a bit of the US for a night. Olive garden corporate knows exactly what they are doing. Everything was as you would expect it to be. Endless breadsticks, endless salad, endless soda, and booths! The menu is exactly the same as it is in the US and all of the recipes are to exacting Olive garden specifications. The service, the food, and the atmosphere were all excellent. TERRIBLE SALTY BREADSTICKS. This place is a scam. They neglected to mention many details about the payment information and we ended up paying a lot more. Also, the meat soup tasted like wet towel and the chicken I ordered had so much cheese I couldn’t see the protein (the plate’s description didn’t mention it had that much cheese). Plus, the broccoli was dry and stale. I know what good broccoli tastes like and that was not it. Not to mention that the costumer service was horrible.
