Mirador Pita — Attraction in Tárcoles

We were on our way from San Jose to look for a more secluded beach. Planned to drive over an hour more. Stopped to check it out and absolutely loved it. Saw a flock of red macaws several times and probably 1000 hermit crabs at the tree line. All locals here and no one trying to sell you anything, although I did want a snow cone😊. I would take water shoes if I went back. The sand is very rough. If you head south a little bit further you can drive your car down to the beach.
