Glavanovo — Attraction in Grad Rijeka

Mainly pebble beach, further parts are concreted. It is not too big, but everyone willing fits easily, in case of crowd you can go a little further towards the port and lie down in the remains of a resort. The water, of course, warm and clean, a bit further you can go over the rocks (east of teh beach) and look for sea urchins. There are changing rooms available, also you can use shower and taps. Descent to the beach is via the extreme and steep stairs from the street above. Interesting at night. To sum up, it is a nice place for sunbathing and you do not have to go outside the city. The beach gets crowded very early. Not far from the city center, walking distance. It’s better to go there early morning to save the spot for yourself. The frontside of the beach is nice but backside of the beach is really dirty, the area is full of trash and smelly. I would rather suggest to go the beaches a bit far from city center. It could be a good beach if they would keep the whole area cleaned and introduce some amenities necessary...
