Very beautyful beach and the area around the beach under the pine trees. The beach has the smell of pines, sound of jays and wonderful shade that brings calmness and relaxation. Practically, there is no usual pebble beach, but the area next to the sea is a combination of rocs and conrete stones with arranged places for entering the sea with steps and hendrails. It is recomended to bring water shoes as there are mostly bigger stones in the water and there is also a lot of sea grass. The beach is small but there is plenty of space in the woods next to it where there are benches and concrete tables. There are several changing cabins but there is no single shower that works. There is no toilet except one in the nearby restaurant. It is necessary to pay more attention to cleanliness of the beach especially under the pine trees where you can find a lot of all kinds of garbage. There are several tennis courts nearby that can be rented at resonable prices of 30-50kn (4-7€).

Bene beach, one of the oldest beaches in Split, is located beneath Marjan. A ramp barrier will stop you from driving your car to the beach, so you would have to walk one part of the way or take the bus number 12 which drives from the town and passes the beach. More recently you can also take the small tourist train which passes by several times a day. There is a tower on the beach with experienced lifeguards watching over your safety. There is a sports center behind the beach where you can rent different sports prompts. During great heats, find a spot beneath the pine tree tops which will offer you the much needed shade. There is a coffee bar near the beach, as well as a food and drinks kiosk and a restaurant in which you can savor different Dalmatian specialties.

Lovely pretty quiet spot at the end of Marjan Park. There's a café and paid showers and the beach is well maintained. Downsides - only nearby loo is in the cafe - showers cost 2 kuna (you'll need the exact change) - nearest water fountain is about 5/7 minutes walk away - it's rocky, so you'll likely want something soft to sit on unless you rent a sunbed - rocky underwater, sharp stones in the shallows. Best to get in via the steps and start swimming if you're an adult, or bring water shoes if you're going to stay in the shallow (and warmer) bits Upsides - quiet - warm and super clean water - roped off swimming area so the boats can't come too close - cafe does good coffee - shade and sun - lots of trees to stay cool under - beautiful sunsets -

We were so happy that we visited here. The beach is surrounded by pine forest which provides nice shade on a hot sunny day. The water is so clear and clean that you can see fish swimming. The water was calm when we visited so it was perfect for swimming. There are changing booths, a cafe, and bed rental (€20 for a day). We didn't feel the need to rent a bed as we were in the water all day 😁 Just a few things to note: 1. This is a "rocky" beach with many stones and rocks, so make sure you bring aqua shoes if going in the water. 2. Don't take a taxi! They will drop you off at the entrance of the park which means 20 mins of walking. INSTEAD, take bus 12 from Split centre. The bus will take you directly to the beach.

The best beach in Split and even one of the most charming in the whole Croatia, a lot lot lot of space along the whole beach, a perfect beach bar, definitely not overcrowded (in comparison to the other - though beautiful - beaches in Split), piece and quite; for those who search for privacy and a feeling of freedom. As a bonus - lot of shade throughout a day and a beautiful sunset! A nearest parking place around 1-2km far from the beach, from the parking to the beach you can get by feet/bike/scooter (the walk through the park is nothing exhausting, on the contrary, very pleasant thanks to the roads for cyclers and pavements). The beach is available also by bus 12.

A nice break from the crowds but no public toilet. The beach area was recommended by our hotel staff as it is the last stop on the 24 bus (I can’t recall whatever one goes out that way), with most people getting off at the initial two beaches. Well those were arguably more sunny, this beach area also had a fair bit of shade. We recommend bringing beach towels and using those instead of paying €10 per chair for 30mins/1hr (don’t recall which it was). I also recommend using the wading in area as opposed to the rock “dock”. The bottom of the are is very rocky and the area around is naturally more woods, which lead to splinters.
