A wonderful place for a wonderful and relaxing vacation. Baska is an old place with an interesting history. It is located in a deep bay facing south, so it has plenty of sun, not only in high season. But we came for bathing and the beach. One of the most beautiful beaches on the island of Krk. The beach is pebbles and when you get into the Adriatic it's a sandy bottom. The water was clean and very nice for swimming. The beaches however are extremely crowded. It is necessary to arrive early in the morning and take the place on the beach. Along the coast is a long promenade with lots of restaurants, bars, souvenir shops and travel agencies. Almost all places provide free Wi-Fi, the people are very hospitable and speak multiple languages, have no problem there. We enjoyed every moment and for this reason I strongly recommend this beautiful beach and the...
Read moreTake it with a bit of subjective salt, because I love the croatian coast: Amazing. The beach was clean although pebbly (bring some softer sleeping cushion), the water most of the time was clear. Since its sort-of a bay, you won't get huge waves here. If you like mountains, there are a couple of smaller ones next to the beach, at most 1hour walk. So my tip would be to start with sunbathing in the morning, go for a hike in the afternoon after lunch, get down by late afternoon and finish with a bath in the sea. It does magic. There are plenty of restaurants and b&bs at couple minute walks from the beach. Prices in the restaurants weren't the cheapest, but you get good quality service and food/drinks, plus the scenic view. Do not expect everyone to speak english, but everyone is more than happy and willing to communicate any way they...
Read moreAmazing beach and friendly locals, I think is the only place where you can pay by card and locals are super nice. The beach has a long bay with little tiny stones then a few steps into the sea and is sandy. On the promenade, you'll find restaurants, pubs, cafes, souvenir shops, happy hours, kids friendly places, boat trips, parasol and bed rental possibilities, basically everything, even a local grocery shop is on the beach so you can make your own sandwiches and buy drinks. The only downside is that there are no free public showers !!! Unless you pay 1 euro and the sea is very very salty. No free toilets either, unless you pay 1 euro. There are a lot of places where you can park, these are pay parking, and is located minimum 5 minutes uphill from the beach. Great place,...
