Tijekom cijele godine ovdje boravi mnoštvo ptica, stanarice i selice: pastirice, golubovi, vodomari, divlje patke, riječni galebovi, kormorani, liske i čaplje.Stalni domaćini na jezeru jesu kineska guska, siva francuska guska i bijele pekinške patke. U vodi jezera obitavaju crvenouhe kornjače, žabe i nekoliko somova. Zabranjen je ribolov, bacanje smeća te uznemiravanje životinja. Oko jezera postoji mjesto za odmor i promatranje. Posjetitelji mogu donijeti razno povrće i voće za hranu stalnim stanovnicima jezera.

Medulinska Lokva je jezerce u centru Medulina koje pruža mir i opuštenost kako za životinje, tako i za ljude. Apsolutno treba urediti prostor oko Lokve, makar minimalno. Raj za fotografe i djecu. P.S. čuvajmo životinje!
