Sandstrand Medulin — Attraction in Općina Medulin

The most famous among the beaches of Medulin is certainly the beach Bijeca, which is located in the village of Medulin. A kilometer long sandy beach with a gentle entrance to the sea and numerous accompanying facilities is an ideal place for a full day of rest and entertainment for the whole family. The beach is recommended for families with small children and non-swimmers. Additional safety is provided by the rescue service and a fenced swimming area. It’s not sandy .. there’s a lot of stones so you have to be careful or wear something in your feet. Also, we came around 16:00. When we paid, nobody told us they will close at 19:00 .. we paid 29 Euros for the parasol and 3 chairs. I think they should’ve said from the beginning. Otherwise, they have a nice bar .. a bit more expensive than other beaches we’ve been in Pula though. Unfortunately, the only proper place to take a shower is not allowed except for caravan users. Kinder 5* Für Kinder ist dieser Strandabschnitt ein absoluter Traum. Für Kroatien untypisch, ist dieser ein wohl künstlich angelegter Sandstrand. Wir waren die ersten zwei Juliwochen 2019 dort und es war wirklich angenehm. Unsere Tochter, 3 1/2, des Schwimmens noch nicht mächtig hatte riesen Spaß. Der Vorteil: sie konnte mit Ihren Schwimmflügeln, natürlich in Begleitung, gefühlte 200 Meter weit ins Meer gehen und konnte immer noch stehen. Auch Seeigel findet man erst sehr viel weiter draußen.

Erwachsene 3* Der Vorteil für Kinder ist zugleich der Nachteil für Erwachsene. Um in tieferes Gewässer zu gelangen muss man in etwa 400 Meter (nachgemessen via Google Maps) weit hinaus gehen. Teilweise ist nach 300 Metern das Wasser maximal kniehoch.

Verpflegung 4** Wir haben uns zwar selbst unsere Verpfelgung in der Kühltasche mitgebracht, aber es gibt dort auch alles fußläufig zu kaufen. Von warmen Snacks wie Pommes sowie Eis, Softdrinks und Bier bis hin zu frischem Obst und unzähligen Strandutensilien. Die Preise sind insgesamt etwas höher als im Supermarkt, aber immer noch erschwinglich.

Atmosphäre 4** In unserer ersten Woche hatten wir rund um unsere Strandmuschel noch reichlich Platz. In der zweiten Woche nahm es deutlich zu und an unserem letzten Tag war es schon eher voll. Unser Plan sowie unsere Empfehlung: wer noch keine schlupflichtigen Kinder hat: Letzte Juni- und erste Juliwoche buchen. Etwas störend empfand ich die Verkäufer von Ausflügen die am Strand unterwegs waren. Aber naja, irgendweas ist ja immer.
