The church is wonderfull with medieval wall murals and graffiti. The annoying thing was that no photos are allowed. Or so an old lady told me after shouting "NO PHOTO" and adding under her breath "σε παρακαλώ!". Tbh i had been warned that the priest wouldn't allow any photos to be taken inside the church but i decided to ignore that especially after reading about the history of the church. You can see remarkable works of art and scripture about the various events and the journey that Jesus had gone through depicted and adorned (though fading) in various parts of the interior walls of the church.
