Old Town Hall — Attraction in okres Žďár nad Sázavou

Krásná budova renesanční radnice s klasicistním průčelím byla zřejmě vystavěna na přelomu 16. a 17. století. Při úpravě ve druhé polovině 18. století dostala budova takřka dnešní vzhled. Fasáda nese znaky klasicistních úprav z druhé poloviny 18. století. Původně byla součástí radnice i věžička s hodinami, která však byla zničena při požáru dne 27. dubna 1864. Po požáru už nebyla obnovena. V roce 1839 byla k radnici přistavěna zadní část s věznicí a bytem správce, uprostřed byl dvůr. Dnes je tato část novodobě přestavěna a sídlí tu zdejší infocentrum. Stará radnice prošla koncem 20. století celkovou rekonstrukcí, která byla dokončena v roce 1980.

The beautiful Renaissance town hall building with a classicist facade was probably built at the turn of the 16th and 17th centuries. During the reconstruction in the second half of the 18th century, the building got almost today's appearance. The facade bears the signs of Classicist modifications from the 2nd half of the 18th century. Originally part of the town hall was a clock tower, which was destroyed in a fire on 27 April 1864. After the fire, the tower was not restored. In 1839, the back part of the town hall with the prison and the caretaker's apartment was added to the town hall.
