Hrad Boskovice — Attraction in okres Blansko

Closed on Mondays!!! Awesome Castle / Fortress up in the hills, only 5 from Chateau and 10 minutes from Marayskovo Namesti. The first reference to the castle is from the year 1222. It then belonged to the noble family of Lords of Boskovice. Their coats-of-arms, with a seven-tooth comb, later became the emblem of Boskovice town.

Three centuries later, the castle underwent Renaissance adaptations by the Knights of Zástrizl, who owned the castle from the middle of the 16th century and reconstructed the castle. During the years that followed, the castle was demolished several times and rebuilt again.

At the end of the 17th century, the noble family of Dietrichstein obtained the castle together with its estate, but their residence did not last long. The noble residence was completely abandoned in the third part of the 18th Century, and that is when the roofs were pulled down, and the masonry was used as building material for numerous buildings in the town. This is the period of time when it completely fell into ruin.

By the end of the 18th Century, the castle was finally abandoned for good, and the nobility that owned it relocated to a chateau nearby.

Might be nice. But climbing the hill to find everything locked, with new opening times on a piece of paper is annoying. If the castle is closed you cannot see anything, not even the outer court. But of course nobody had the idea to correct the times here in Google or warn that there is nothing to see if closed. Unfortunately a very typical experience for the region, where nothing seems to be open for tourism...

Majestátně shlíží na městečko Boskovice a Pilské údolí, rozpínající se pod ním. Dojít sem můžete úzkou, postupně se klikatící lesní cestou nad letním kinem. Kdy minete dřevěný přístřešek pod korunami stromů se skvostým panaromatickým výhledem.

Nebo asfaltkou od zámku, kde se dá pohodlně zaparkovat. Terén není ani v jenom případě nikterak náročný. Druhá varianta však představuje schůdnou cestu pro rodiče s kočárky, jelikož je dostatečně široká a udržovaná.

Po zdolání stoupání Vám pak bude odměnou procházka k hradním branám a klidné posezení na lavičce nebo exkurze s papírovým či v určený čas živým průvodcem. Vstupné pro dospělé je 70 Kč a snížené 40 Kč. Za děti do šesti let se vstupné nehradí. Za průvodce se dále připlácí k plné vstupence 50 Kč a snížené 30 Kč. Nebo lze v rámci otevírací doby vyřešit vstup pernamentkou v hodnotě 300 Kč, která je určena pro držitele a dvě děti do 15 let či dvě dospělé osoby. Její platnost je pak do konce roku.

Zvláštností této památky dále je dochovaná hradniční studna se šlapacím kolem. Je to zkrátka krásné místo, kterému předchází pěkná procházka a jistě si zaslouží...
