Zajímavý kostel v přechodném stylu mezi pozdní secesí a německou modernou postavili na plzeňském Východním předměstí dominikáni od pražského sv. Jiljí v letech 1912-13 stavitelem architektem Eduardem Sochorem podle plánů Antona Möllera z Varnsdorfu. Trojlodní kostel o délce 55 metrů a šířce 24 metrů má výšku stropu 13 metrů. Vnější dominantou kostela je kostelní věž vysoká 57 necelých metrů se zvony Tomášem (1913), Václavem (1952) a Josefem (1955) a hodinami z roku 1923.
