Read moreNádherný kostel nechal postavit plzeňský měšťan a vlastník zdejších vinic Vít Malíř v roce 1406. Od 15. století sloužil jako hřbitovní. Původní chudinské pohřebiště se od 19. století stalo "plzeňským Slavínem" s hroby významných místních občanů. Gotická stavba později prošla renesančními (k roku 1599), barokními (1739-1744) a novorenesančními úpravami (1909). Kostel je dvoulodní s polygonálním presbytářem a obdélnou kaplí sv. Anny na severní straně. Oltář, sochy, kazatelna a jiné vnitřní zařízení jsou ve stylu barokním a rokokovém. Od roku 1993 objekt využívá řeckokatolická církev.
The beautiful church was built in 1406 by Vít Malíř, a Pilsen burgher and owner of the local vineyards. Since the 15th century it has served as a cemetery. Since the 19th century, the original pauper burial ground has become the "Pilsen Slavín" (nicknamed after the Prague´s one) with the graves of prominent local citizens. The Gothic building later underwent Renaissance (as of 1599), Baroque (1739-1744) and Neo-Renaissance (1909) modifications.
