The Timber Trail, Krkonoše — Attraction in okres Trutnov

We travelled from Karpacz visiting Karkonosze. Trip took 1hr, no motorway vignette is required. Arrived just before 10 am, car park was almost empty. However, within 30 minutes started filling up. I recommend paying for car park up front, as it cost 100 czk for entire day, no matter if you stayed 1hr or 10 hrs. But the payment machines are just next to entry/exit gate and n entry to the tower is on the other side of the car park. Ticket prices for the tower are also outdated. 2+1 cost us 900 czk (leaflet says 750 czk). View from the tower are astonishing. It takes around 10 minutes from the start to the top of the tower - the distance is around 1km each way. Once on the way down you can use the slide - cost 50 czk and it takes 10 seconds to get to the bottom. On the way out you go through shop and restaurant. Really cool place. I expected it to be just a watchtower but this was quite different. Before you enter the watchtower you walk across a path built between the trees which alread is quite high above the ground. I really enjoyed this since it was a nice build up to the view. Then you enter a little information area about the soil, this was a fun touch but not that interesting in my opinion. Then you can go and climb the tower. This was really nice and the view was great. I took some very beatiful pictures here. When you exit the tower you end in a building with souvenir shop and bistro. We ate here and it was delicious. They have both vegan and vegetarian options. It was a nice experience. At the top, u need to pay for sliding down, and it takes 10 seconds to turn all the way to the bottom. To climb, it took so long, but the view was amazing. Also, on the way, you can read about the surrounding nature and get information about how they built it. It has a nice atmosphere and so many families are coming there. Also, at the top, don't forget to check the arrows that show how far you are from other provinces 😁😁

At the restaurant it was a little bit expensive compared to other places in the cities close to there and not good. But it will feed your hunger.

Try to go there by walking in the forest it was so nice. You can find some hidden activities around.
