The pros.
Good selection of slot machines. No smoking allowed inside casino which makes atmosphere much more pleasant for non smokers. Rest rooms are well maintained and they are normally very clean. Food in rooneys deli is very good and well priced for a casino.
Other food choices as well from a quick bite to a full service restaurant. Hours vary for food choices check the schedules to see what facilities are open and when. Casino is being remodeled so there is construction going on and some areas are closed on the slot floor.
Soft drinks free for active players, not sure about beer, but hard liquor and mixed drinks are not free.
Good rewards program. Good promotions for slot play. They do have table games as well mainly on the first floor. Not sure about poker area as to when there is poker as I don't play table games.
Casino is being remodeled to update and improve the appearance.
Entertainment on the weekends is normally pretty good and there is a dance floor. Live bands on Friday and Saturday nights not sure about Sundays.
The Cons. Parking can be tight. Lots of available parking but long walk to casino unless you ride the complementary shuttle which circles the parking lot regularly. Several rows of handicapped parking which are normally almost always full.
If you are a smoker no smoking in the building there are specific smoking areas outside. This is great for non smokers who want a smoke free environment, but smokers don't like having to leave the building to smoke.
Soft drinks are free if you are actively playing but alcoholic beverages are not (not sure about beer, I drink soda when playing) you must pay for hard liquor or mixed drinks.
Casibo is Not open 24/7 during the weekdays they close at 4 am. Not sure what weekend hours are.
Since covid happened the free self service soda machine has been removed and a vending machine has replaced it and soda there is no longer free. Soft drinks are free if actively playing atca machine, servers bring drinks around on a cart and you...
Read moreI've been a patron of Del Park for over 40 years and this is worst it's ever been especially when it concerns horse racing fans!!. Case in point for one, every Saturday and Sunday for the last 20 years our group meets and partakes in the live racing. We sit in the grandstand in the same seats every Saturday. Last year you eliminated all the outside wagering machines. There is absolutely nowhere to make a wager outside unless you are part of the group ( about 6 or 7 people) that sit along side of the paddock where there are 2 machines. I guess you have to know someone to attain that SPECIAL privilege. I spent over two weeks last year on the phone pleading my case about outside wagering machines getting shuffled around and basically ignored , by the way there are numerous other people in the grandstand area that constantly approach us and ask , We're can we make bet on the races?. It's perfectly clear that you don't give a darn about the racing patrons. As far as the food courts are concerned it's clearly obvious the purchasing agents are cutting corners because the quality of what's being served is far below the standard that it once was barely edible at times!!. The closing of the Racebook at 9 o'clock on Saturday nights is unimaginable. No establishment whatever it may be does not close its doors at 9 on a Saturday night, that's just bad business management. Also the Racebook itself is in need of an upgrade. There often is an odor that's very distracting and the carpets and chairs are advanced in years to the point it's not very comfortable and pleasant. I'm positive this comment will either be seen or read by anyone but if it does happen take into consideration what I posted!!!!. MTPGA...MAKE THE PARK...
Read moreGood food, good music and some nice host. . But some of the people who are in charge of host and casino are rude and very controlling of everything. I have been a V.I.P. at this casino for years. Once Delaware park was a favorite of mine. As soon as I had inserted my players card into the slot machine I was playing. It would only be a few minutes and a host would approach me and ask me if I needed anything. Sometimes giving me up to 150 dollars food comp for myself and another to have a great meal on casino. They would invite me to events and dinners give us cruise line tickets and was always very nice to me and my guests. They made me feel like a V.I.P. But that was then. I don't get invited to anything lately. I don't get the cruises or gifts like before. And because the one in charge has put a note on my account that I am not allowed to even get a 10 dollar food comp without her approval. Now to me. Being a V.I.P. at Delaware park casino is not good like it once was. Now I feel that being a V.I.P at Delaware park casino makes me a target. Things need to change for the better. And I hear some of the other V.I.P.,s who are not happy with Delaware park casino also...
