Played: Holiday. July 4th. Early morning round. Paid $99.
Course Layout: ⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ (3.5/5) The course features a fair amount of hazards and water, but lacks standout holes or exciting moments. It’s not bad at all—just not particularly memorable or challenging. A solid, middle-of-the-road design.
Course Condition: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4/5) Overall course maintenance was good. Greens were rolling well, tee boxes were in nice shape, and the rough around the greens was trimmed tight. Nothing exceptional, but everything was in good playing condition.
Value for Money: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5) For a holiday morning tee time at $99, this was a fantastic deal. Given the quality and pace of play, it’s hard to beat the value.
Clubhouse & Service: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ (4.5/5) The clubhouse is well-kept and the service was impressive. Marshals were highly active and very friendly—checking in with players and keeping the pace moving. Great experience, especially for a holiday morning.
Pace of Play: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5) Surprisingly smooth for a holiday morning. No delays, and marshals ensured everything moved efficiently. A rare and welcome experience.
Practice Facility: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5) The practice area looked excellent, with a full driving range, putting green, and chipping area. Even though there wasn’t time to warm up today, the facilities were clearly well-designed and maintained.
Scenery & Atmosphere: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ (3/5) This is where the course falls short. The surroundings are fairly plain. There’s little in the way of scenic beauty or natural charm.
Overall Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4.4/5)
Summary: White Clay Creek Country Club delivers excellent value, solid conditions, and top-tier service—especially impressive on a busy holiday morning. While the course layout and scenery may not leave a lasting impression, the overall experience is smooth, well-organized, and satisfying. Great practice facilities and attentive marshals elevate the...
Read moreWe held our Wedding Reception here on June 9, 2018. We had the best experience ever. Everyone here is professional, knowledgeable and go above and beyond what is expected. Steven English was our coordinator and he orchestrated everything wonderfully. The staff that took care of us during the reception were right on point, not missing a beat with what was to happen next. I will apologize that I do not remember all of their names, but the entire group, including Chrissy and Melissa made our day very special. The room was decorated beautifully with linens of our colors, centerpieces by Forget Me Not Florist that were lightly dusted with paint to match or colors, and our beautiful cake made by Desserts By Dana . The butlered Hors doeures were plentifull, the salad was refreshing, and our choices for our main course (Crab Cakes & Beef Tenderloin) were delicious. All of our guests stated how beautiful everything was, how great the service and food was. Our DJ/KJ Chris of Chris's Karnival Karaoke was just perfect. He did our introductions, all of our announcements for the special things that were planned and played music and karaoke so everyone could sing and dance. Being able to be surrounded by family and friends and not having to worry about any of the details of the day was exceptionally special for my husband and myself. The day/evening was perfect, and I would recommend the White Clay Country Club to anyone looking for totally wonderful place to hold their event. You can have your Wedding & Reception there as well, so you and your guests don't have to drive from one place to another. Just a wonderful over all experience. Our thanks to everyone at White Clay Creek Country Club for helping to make our...
Read moreThe course was in great shape and extremely challenging. Fairways were in good condition, however, previous players need to repair their divots. Many without sand. Ball cleaners were a bit scarce , but other than that, it was a great course. Pace of play is a bit slower than most places, and there wasn't a ranger to move it along . We had to wait on almost every shot. A bit disorganized when I arrived. There was nobody to take my bag , and I wasn't sure I was in the correct spot having never played this course. I saw the sign for the bag drop and valet, but never saw anyone out front. I went inside to find the pro shop and was informed that I should carry my bag inside the building and down the flight of stairs and out the back door , where the cart attendant was. As I exited the building, the gentleman asked what I had for a tee time, and when I informed him of the time, he simply pointed to a cart and said , " that one". I don't mind handing my bag, I was just surprised. After the others in my group arrived, we had to wait for them to locate our second cart , as someone had taken it to the range. Our tee time was approaching, and we had to ask if we should drive up to the first tee, or was someone going to tell us to head to the starter. Everyone was very polite and we found our way once that was cleared up. All in all we had a great time and finished in just shy of 5 hours. A bit long for a day of golf, but the weather was great and we...
