Booked a work "Appreciation Luncheon" for 15 for 01/14/25. Worked with Steven English (Director of Food and Beverage) over the phone and also stopped in person on 01/10 to confirm my seating request. Requested 3 rounds to be placed together in front of the fireplace. Steven keep trying to make me take one long table. I asked that we have 3 rounds and he finally said it would be ready. On 01/14 - when opening the front door to restaurant building, you got hit in the face with a STRONG (and I mean strong, nauseating sewage smell - that also lingered into the dining area. Then, my round tables were not set up. They had the long table I said I didn't want all set. I asked for Steven - they said he didn't show up today. So not to have guests wait to set up the rounds, we took the one long table.... Only one server was assigned to handle the entire group which made for VERY slow drink and food service. There was one other worker playing on his phone the entire time up near the bar. One of my guests had to clear the table of the appetizer plates to make room for the long awaited meals. There was no mention by Steven that we only could have the lunch appetizer, salad and sandwich menu. Guests were expecting to be able to order an Entree'. Another disappointment! Was told you can only order off lunch menu and could not make any changes to any menu item. had to take it just as it was listed on menu. NO substitutions! Several salads had wilted lettuce and onions. One person ordered a house salad and received a Ceasar. Hot sauce container had mold inside. All this was pointed out and shown to sever and manager. When asked to speak to a Manager, I believe it was the chef or a cook that came out of the kitchen. Expressed my concerns. She really didn't seem very sympathetic to situation. Said she would knock 20% off the bill. Or remake food. No one def wanted to wait for that. AND.... for a restaurant close to a major hospital, and tons of other businesses, not one person came in for lunch the entire time we were there!!! 11:30AM - 1:30PM. What an EMBARASSMENT for me who set up Luncheon. Requesting a response to...
Read moreWent there for dinner with a large group of about 10. After ordering drinks and dinner, I waited over an hour for dinner to arrive. In the meantime, we had to go to the bar, get our own drinks. Nobody came to ask us if we needed anything. dinner comes. Everybody got their dinner except me. eventually I was told my dinner would be coming. I waited 20 minutes, waitress came by and said another 5 minutes I said. Well, you can probably just keep it if its any longer than that, it's been too long. Everybody else has finished their dinner. so I sent my dinner back when it finally arrived. I asked for my check as I wanted to leave. They had the nerve to say no seperate checks for a large party. After much arguing (terrible atitude from manager) my check comes and it has a 20% gratuity already added onto it! told the waitress I wasn't paying that. Manager insisted 20% was mandatory and he couldn't let me leave until I paid check plus 20%, like he was going to call the police. I explained that gratuities are optional ( i usually tip well at restaurants) Manager Vince comes out and then wants to argue with me even though I had terrible service and added 10% tip. I told him I was not tipping 20% because the service was terrible. They have no idea what customer service is about. Absolutely terrible experience.. So I left with the 10% tip and l said "be glad you got that". The whole table was complaining. Such a shame, a nice restaurant, problem could easily have been remedied with some better...
Read moreThis was my 1st time visiting for a Brunch with my girls(party of 18). Although the place is nice, it was just ok. The buffet was $30 and for the price i expected better food. They had one person doing the egg/omelette station which i felt was overwhelming for the cook and an inconvenience to the people there because your food was cold by the time your eggs was done because the cook only had two small skillets and he has to make eggs and waffles per request. French toast had to be ordered but i was told it was good. The fruit station was so so, they had a seafood section w/smoked salmon, shrimp and oysters. The shrimp was good. They also had a dessert table. Although i didn't try it, i was told by a few women that the cheesecake was good. There was also a Blue Lives Matter event/gathering that was going on the grounds which made the brunch extremely uncomfortable being we were all African American woman and knowing the racism we experience due to police brutality. Overall it was an ok experience but i would not return or recommend to any...
