AMAZING maritime museum, in my eyes a world class museum with a near endless exhibits. I could sense the work, effort and passion that went into this museum and its displays. Must have been several hundred models of just about every type of ship you could think of. These aren't basic models these are INTRICATE and DETAILED pieces of art, that took months to create by real artisans. THEN there is the submarine!! I can't imagine a more intact submarine on display anywhere else. This one looks like the crew was in there a few days doing their work. Dials, switches and valves all worked, could even use and focus the periscope!!! In America a display like this would have been striped to the hull before opening it...

Trying to stand in front of it with the hurricane setting was a real challenge! All in all, a fantastic outing for all the family. The museum is also very close to a wonderful marina with an indoor food hall which...

You can also 'drive' two anti-aircraft guns on the grass (climb inside and aim the guns vertically) which was excellent fun. Really well put together and worth the...
