I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the ARKEN Museum and everyone who contributed to creating this powerful exhibition. I am originally from Ukraine, and currently living in Prague, but this exhibition was an unforgettable and deeply personal experience that truly touched my soul.

The works of Ursula Reuter Christiansen are incredibly strong and filled with emotional truth. “Rotten Eggs Against Bombs” and “Washed Out Faces” made me stop and feel every note of pain and loss. The red canvases, as if screaming about war and suffering, brought me to tears. As someone from Ukraine, it was difficult to walk through these rooms, as the themes addressed by the artist resonate with the tragedies my country is currently facing.

At the same time, I felt how art can offer solace. The installation “Es Ist Zu Spät”, with its words “it’s not too late” and “it’s too late,” served as a reminder of the fragility of human hope and the need to keep fighting, even when it feels like all is lost.

I want to thank Ursula Reuter Christiansen for her incredible art, which addresses complex but important themes. Your works are a bridge between cultures, uniting people through understanding and empathy. I would also like to highlight the beautiful location of the museum. The water nearby, the peaceful atmosphere, and the museum itself seem to fit perfectly into the surrounding environment. The space and the design create a harmony that allows you to fully immerse yourself in the artworks and experience each emotion.

Thank you to the ARKEN Museum for creating such a powerful and inspiring place, where art speaks the language of pain,...

Writing this as of June 2025, we visited based on the deceivingly good reviews of the museum. The museum is at a nice location and has gorgeous exterior architecture, however the current exhibits felt subpar compared to the building itself.

The layout of the exhibits felt chaotic as there is no clear flow of direction as to where you should go next. One exhibit felt like it used way too much space and you have to read a pamphlet in the dark to guess what you're looking at, another felt like I walked into a warehouse space where a child threw art supplies everywhere that never got cleaned up. Half of the museum space was filled with event furniture (tables, chairs, bar for service), it felt strangely unwelcoming to walk through.

You can get through this museum in about 1 hour. For the same ticket price you could get a much more enriching experience at Louisiana Museum and spend a...
