We booked a full day excursion with Domitai Park through Air Canada. The staff were energetic and friendly. We did the half day the year before and enjoyed it so much we opted for the full day this year.
Activities included the ATV ride, horse ride, ziplining, swim in the cenote, cultural tour, coffee/hot cocoa/tea/mama juana tasting, carnival, lunch, etc.
If you are looking for a thorough and speedy zip line experience, this isn’t it. However I would consider this a good way to try zip lining out. The towers are not extremely high and the ropes are not angled too bad so you fly but not too fast. Still fun.
ATV ride this time of year was dry so not much mud flying but still fun.
The horses are so much fun and well trained. However my horse decided to race all others in our group. He must have been the only one not listening to instructions. Like any other teenager 🤣.
The cenote was refreshing. Great for washing off the activities of the day. Be sure to bring water shoes. The rocks can be rough on sensitive feet.
Lunch was tasty. Includes both cultural meals and Americanized meals. No one will go hungry here.
The staff make you feel comfortable and part of the family. They really ensure you are having a good time.
No complaints!! Be sure to try out this excursion...
Read moreWe took this excursion just yesterday and happens to be my birthday, I must say it’s well worth it. Not just because of the activities that includes in this trip but most of all the service we had. Special mention to our group leader/guide “Pineapple” at least that’s how he wanted to be called in our group Iguana. He just served us very well and very energetic, fun guy, went above and beyond his duties. Did not even expect or ask anything in return like tips but he very well deserved it and me and my espousa did just that. Generally the whole experience and service were commendable, facilities are clean, great tasting food by their chef. Five stars rating for the whole thing and if I can only give more than 5 stars to our leader guide then I would without a doubt.
Anyone visiting DR should try this excursion and I can guarantee you won’t be...
Read moreBring plenty of money. Nearly everything you do, they will try to sell you items. Upon arrival, we had to walk through the gift shop. The buggies required goggles to see and a bandana to breathe, both of which are an extra charge. For the price of admission, these should have been included. The native animals are beautiful, but to interact with them or get photos, an actress charge. You get a lesson on how chocolate and vanilla are made, then they immediately try to sell you on them.
This is not a park where you can go where you want and do what you want. You are with a group and that group does everything together.
Save your money and try...
