Playa Mann quickly became one of my favorite beaches on San Cristóbal because you get to enjoy the sand and water alongside an entire family of sea lions. It’s such a unique experience watching them play, nap, and waddle around right next to you. A fair warning- the beach can feel a bit like a giant litter box thanks to its furry residents but it’s all part of the charm. There’s also a boardwalk to a lighthouse you can take a stroll on to enjoy the views.
The water at Playa Mann is calm and clear, making it a great spot for swimming. Snorkeling is possible too, though visibility isn’t always perfect. On a good day you can see colorful fish, marine iguanas, and even the occasional turtle cruising by. Just remember to give the sea lions their space if you encounter them in the water- they might be curious, but they are still wild animals.

Otherwise the beach is nice. Sea lions will play with you there and there is decent snorkeling out around the rocks. If you stay late in the day after almost everyone has left, there are 3 sea lions that will pay alot of attention to you. They will bump you and swim through your legs, but they are just...
