SEYYİDE ÂİŞE Âişe bint. Cafer-i Sadık, Peygamber sülalesinden Cafer-i Sadık’ın kızıdır ve Musa Kazım’ın kız kardeşidir. Dedesi Muhammed Bakır, onun da dedesi Hz. Hüseyin’dir.1 Lakabı Ümmü Ferve’dir.2 Seyyide Âişe edeb ve haya üzere yetişmiştir. Emevi halifelerinden II. Ömer diye meşhur olan Ömer b. Abdülaziz’in eşidir. Çok ibadet ederdi. İbadette nefse zor gelen ve nefsin yapmayı istemediği şeyleri yapardı. Evliya bir hanımdır.3 Seyyide Âişe bir münacatında: “Ya Rabbi! İzzetin ve Celal’in hakkı için eğer beni cehennemine koyacak olursan yine seni tevhid eder, var ve bir bilirim.” dedi.4 Başka bir rivayette ise: “İzzet ve Celaline and olsun ki; eğer beni cehenneme atarsan, tevhid halimi elime alacağım, cehennem ehli arasında dolaşıp şöyle diyeceğim; ben onu tevhid ettim; o bana azap ediyor...”5 H. 145’te Kahire’de vefat etti. Karafe kabristanlığına giderken solda Seyyide Âişe adını taşıyan mescid içinde medfundur.6 Seyyide Âişe çokça ibadet eden salah sahibi bir kişiydi. Sözlerinden onun naz makamında olduğu çıkarılabilir. O bu makama çokça ibadet ederek ulaşmıştır. Ayrıca daha önce bahsettiğimiz gibi tüm mücevheratını Beytü’l mal’e eşinin isteği üzerine vermiş eşinin vefatından sonra tekrar kendisine verilmek istendiğinde karşı çıkmıştır. Bu hareketini onun haram ve helal dairesine ne kadar çok ehemmiyet verdiğinin bir göstergesi olarak kabul edebiliriz. 📚📚📚

ﻟﻮ ﻛﺎﻧﺖ ﻟﺪﻳﻚ ﻭﺳﻴﻠﺔ ﻟﻘﺘﻞ ﺍﻟﻤﻮﺕ، ﻭﻟﺈﺯﺍﻟﺔ ﺍﻟﺰﻭﺍﻝ ﻋﻦ ﺍﻟﺪﻧﻴﺎ، ﻭﻟﻮ ﻛﺎﻥ ﻋﻨﺪﻙ ﺩﻭﺍﺀ ﻟﺮﻓﻊ ﺍﻟﻌﺠﺰ ﻭﺍﻟﻔﻘﺮ ﻋﻦ ﺍﻟﺒﺸﺮﻳﺔ، ﻭﻭﺳﺎﻃﺔ ﻟﻐﻠﻖ ﺑﺎﺏ ﺍﻟﻘﺒﺮ ﺇﻟﻰ ﺍﻟﺄﺑﺪ، ﻓﻬﺎﺗﻬﺎ ﺇﺫﻥ ﻭﻗُﻠْﻬﺎ ﻟﺄﺳﻤﻊ ﻭﺃﻃﻴﻊ.. ﻭﺇﻟﺎّ ﻓﺎﺧﺮﺱ، ﻓﺈﻥ ﺍﻟﻘﺮﺁﻥ ﺍﻟﻜﺮﻳﻢ ﻳﺘﻠﻮ ﺁﻳﺎﺕ ﺍﻟﻜﺎﺋﻨﺎﺕ ﻓﻲ ﻣﺴﺠﺪ ﺍﻟﻜﻮﻥ ﺍﻟﻜﺒﻴﺮ ﻫﺬﺍ. ﻓﻠﻨﻨﺼﺖ ﺇﻟﻴﻪ، ﻭﻟﻨﺘﻨّﻮﺭ ﺑﻨﻮﺭﻩ، ﻭﻟﻨﻌﻤﻞ ﺑﻬﺪﻳﻪ ﺍﻟﺤﻜﻴﻢ، ﺣﺘﻰ ﻳﻜﻮﻥ ﻟﺴﺎﻧُﻨﺎ ﺭﻃﺒﺎ ﺑﺬﻛﺮﻩ ﻭﺗﻠﺎﻭﺗﻪ.

ﻧﻌﻢ، ﺇﻥ ﺍﻟﻜﻠﺎﻡ ﻛﻠﺎﻣُﻪ. ﻓﻬﻮ ﺍﻟﺤﻖُّ، ﻭﻫﻮ ﺍﻟﺬﻱ ﻳُﻈﻬﺮ ﺍﻟﺤﻘﻴﻘﺔَ ﻭﻳﻨﺸﺮ ﺁﻳﺎﺕ ﻧﻮﺭ ﺍﻟﺤﻜﻤﺔ. ﴿ﺍَﻟﻠّﻬﻢَّ ﻧَﻮِّﺭ ﻗُﻠُﻮﺑَﻨَﺎ ﺑِﻨُﻮﺭِ ﺍْﻟﺈﻳﻤَﺎﻥِ ﻭَﺍﻟﻘُﺮﺁﻥِ. ﺍَﻟﻠﻬﻢَّ ﺃﻏْﻨِﻨَﺎ ﺑِﺎْﻟﺎِﻓﺘِﻘَﺎﺭِ ﺇﻟَﻴْﻚَ ﻭَﻟﺎَ ﺗُﻔْﻘِﺮْﻧَﺎ ﺑِﺎْﻟﺎِﺳْﺘِﻐﻨَﺎﺀِ ﻋَﻨﻚَ، ﺗَﺒﺮَّﺃْﻧَﺎ ﺇِﻟَﻴْﻚَ ﻣِﻦ ﺣَﻮﻟِﻨَﺎ ﻭَﻗُﻮَّﺗِﻨَﺎ ﻭَﺍﻟْﺘَﺠَﺄْﻧَﺎ ﺇﻟَﻰ ﺣَﻮْﻟِﻚَ ﻭَﻗُﻮَّﺗِﻚَ، ﻓَﺎﺟْﻌَﻠْﻨَﺎ ﻣِﻦَ ﺍﻟْﻤُﺘَﻮَﻛِّﻠِﻴﻦَ ﻋَﻠَﻴْﻚَ، ﻭَﻟﺎَ ﺗَﻜِﻠْﻨَﺎ ﺇﻟَﻰ ﺃﻧﻔُﺴِﻨَﺎ، ﻭَﺍﺣْﻔَﻈْﻨَﺎ ﺑِﺤِﻔْﻈِﻚَ ﻭَﺍﺭْﺣَﻤْﻨَﺎ ﻭَﺍﺭْﺣَﻢ ﺍﻟﻤُﺆْﻣِﻨِﻴﻦَ ﻭَﺍﻟْﻤُﺆْﻣِﻨَﺎﺕِ.﴾

In a fruit and vegetables market area of Cairo, mostly avoided by tourists, as it is one of the busiest mini bus taxi stops at the bottom of the Mokkadum hill. The mosque houses the maqam of Syeda Elisha, the daughter of Syedna imam Jaffar (very highly venerated and honoured Imam of the Shi'a) the fifth generation after the Prophet. A ride in the mini bus taxi puts you in close touch with the locals and you can experience the life of the humble and oppressed, but content working class of Cairo. At the top of the hill is Mokkatum, the area in central Cairo where the hob nobs live. A five minute drive exposes the stark contrast which is radically different from the upmarket suburbs outside Cairo.
