KV43 Thutmes IV — Attraction in New Al Qarnh City

The entrance to KV 43, Thutmes IV is uphill, high in the mountainside, above and southeast of KV 19. I was very lucky to adventure up there, and actually had it all for myself. What it was a great and different experience. I was glad to have an opportunity to explore it at my own pace. The other closer tombs, you line up with a lot of people up and down, into and out of it. One of the tombs that often gets forgotten. It's a long way out of the main area after a short uphill hike. The hike uphill means the staircase down the tombs are quite deep. But the effort is worth the reward! This tomb hides a huge sarcophagus as well as some amazing graffitis dating back to a few years after the tomb was completed that proves that a government official checked the content of the tomb....

Definitely recommend coming to this tomb - only a few mins walk from the entrance. The other tourists and tour groups don't bother walking to this one so you will likely have it to yourself.
