North beach is beautiful in its own way, soft sands, beautiful waters, very good facilities, and just the right amount of vendors and restaurants. It is one of the larger beaches in Marassi which makes it easier to find a semi-secluded spot if privacy and calmness are high on your list. The waters and waves can get rough at times with some pull that makes it harder to fully relax while swimming as you need to be vigilant; however, lifeguards do a very good job of keeping an eye, but I would still be cautious especially with kids.
