As a tourist I really recommend this park for running, it has great shade pretty much through all the different paths from the trees. Pretty sure you can run for 40 minutes or more depending on which paths you follow. You can also make it shorter.I felt safe since the place has security, but I stuck to the bigger car sized paths because I'm not from here so just in case, but that said I do feel safe, also there are plenty of people around, even more on weekends. They close at 5pm Parking is 1 dollar. I took an uber, so I didn't pay the fee. You can also rent bikes, or use the outside gym, the place has several parrillas where you can make barbecue, restrooms(you should bring toilet paper with you or something) and places where you can eat fast food style, or buy beverages. They also have a kids playground.
No solamente NO SE VA A ARREPENTIR. Va a volver, una y otra vez. This morning, without thinking twice, and as I passed by the entrance to the park I suddenly left Jerusalem Avenue, and entered the park. The Bicentennial Park is a natural area, and full of curiosities, which could yet be much more. The amount of trees brings the temperature to a cooler feel, indeed. The evidence shows that the park was private property at some point, and that private property was once a Coffee plantation. There is also evidence that there is more nature around the same park. I took my monocular with the desire to see birds: I didn't see any birds. What I saw, at the end of my walk, did not justify what is advertised as a natural and diverse area, with a population of birds. Maybe I will have better fortune, on my next visit to this park. Yes there are bathrooms, stores, and other places where activities are done for the public. The Bicentennial is also adjacent to the West with the private and paid for admission, Ecopark. Here one can ride a mountain bike. The difference is that the Bicentennial offers both, bicycling and hiking, at the same time. Also, The Bicentennial Park is next to, on the east side and parallel to the Saint Romero boulevard, adjacent to the "Migrant Brother Park. The Migrant Brother Park does not offer the same amenities. Don't think about it! Do it! Visit the Bicentennial Park! Not only will you NOT REGRET IT! You will return,...
Read moreEnjoyed this park due to its size and varying trails. Some of the areas could use some work but the majority is pretty decent, even with trash receptacles available and security too. Highly recommend water and bug repellent if possible, and the inner trails are mostly on dirt paths, so be prepared. Also recommend ensuring your phone is charged up too so you can navigate if you get lost. Otherwise, you can walk or bike the paved path that aligns the road. Lots of parking, but difficult to get an Uber to or from due to some of the confusing roads. Pretty...
