Fun was had by all. While it is not a huge amusement park with terrifying rides, it's perfect for younger kids. The roller coaster is slow, and the 3 year old in my group loved it. When you show up, you go to the ticket counter and put money on a card that you scan at all the rides. We went at four p.m. and had a lot of fun going from ride to ride. The rides were a great price.
There is a lot of construction going on in La Libertad. It would have been faster for us to park a little ways out before you go down the hill into town and walk than driving through the streets. We did find a parking lot, they charged $2/hour, and were only a block away from everything. Right now, the sunset is at 6 and the parking lot closed at 6, so we only had 2 hours there.
All in all, it was a fun afternoon trip, but I'd get there earlier than 4 if you have an hour or more...

The street and market vendors are plentiful as long as you go before 5:00 - 6:00 PM. During high tide, the beach is mostly rocks, however, during lower tides, there are definitely plenty of sandy areas along this beach for the family. The sand is grey/black (from volcanic activity) and not because it’s dirty. The pier was under construction at the time that we visited, however that didn’t really matter much, considering that the old pier is still accessible. We felt super safe while we were there. We will definitely be returning the next time we are back in...
Read moreHands down one of the best ways to spend the afternoon with the family. We live in the city, so about a 45 minute drive (not bad at all) down to the beach and we were pleasantly surprised by just how awesome this park is. After years of living in El Salvador, i have never found a place like this. The park has a lot to do with the family, so many food options. We stopped by the seafood market on the way out to grab some shrimp for dinner. Over all such a great experience. Place is clean, feels...
