Addis Skatepark — Attraction in Addis Ababa

Great skatepark that really requires an overhaul. It has turned into a gang hangout for teens who do not have board to site and lay on the obstacles while skaters are trying to access the park. Could be intimidating for younger beginners as the thought and creation had good intention, it has turned into a place that does not provide a comfortable skate. Looking forward to the redo, cleanup and overhaul but I this point I still would lend my deck to someone who asked in fear that it might get stollen, as I have seen first hand happen. Amazing place for our kids!!! If you take the time to get to know the teenagers here, they are actually quite nice and have taught our kids how to skate. However, there are some less savory types who pop up occasionally that can ruin the vibe by asking visitors for money and harassing them.
