I find a stop at Entoto Park interesting. Entoto Park has a nice outlook (platform) to have a great view of Addis Ababa. There is also a telescope for magnified views of the city.
There is no entrance (admission) fee to visit Entoto Park. But, make sure you have your passport or identity card with you. You leave your passports/IDs at the entrance when you get a visitors neck badge. After your visit, you will get your passports/IDs back.
If you want to have enjoyable and relaxed visit of Entoto Park, avoid visiting it on weekends (Sat and Sun) as it is full of crowds and it is difficult to get a good parking place if you are driving.

Read moreHuge park with well-maintained walking and cycling pathways. Very nice natural break from the noise and dust of Addis Ababa. Food, snacks, coffee, etc. available throughout the park. Also, some good cafes and restaurants at the other end, you need to walk around an hour from the main gate to reach there with beautiful walking as the path map I posted with this review. The other way back to the main gate takes more than an hour with different things to see. Admission is 1000 Birr for foreigners. And it's crowded on weekends...
